Online 5-card draw poker. Play 2 to 4 hands per game
Jacks or Better is the classic 5-card draw poker game. Play 2, 3 or 4 hands at the same time. Winning hands starts with a pair of Jacks.
To play this version of Jacks or Better: Decide on the number of hands to be played using the plus and minus symbols on either side of the HAND selector below the cards. Choose between 2, 3 and 4 separate hands.
Then choose the coin denomination for each wager using the coin selector. The following values are available:
Finally, decide on the number of coins to be wagered on each hand. You may bet from 1-5 coins.
The total bet amount for each game is displayed in the BET window. Use the BET ONE button to increase the number of coins played.
To start the game, use the DEAL button.
BET MAX will automatically set the number of coins to 5 and will also immediately deal the first hand.
To begin, the player is presented with 5 cards, face down. DEAL will reveal all 5 cards in the first hand. At this point the player can decide to HOLD any of the cards shown by clicking HOLD below the relevant card, or by clicking on the image of the card itself.
Any held cards are now replicated in the second and (if played), third and fourth hands.
Any winning combinations will automatically be held by the game. The player may remove any hold by clicking again on the HOLD button below the card, or by clicking again on the image of the card.
Once any cards have been held, the player will press the DRAW button. Any cards not held in the first hand are replaced with new cards from the shoe. All cards in all played hands are now revealed and any winning combinations will be indicated.
The player can collect any winnings using the COLLECT button, or choose to wager the winnings on a double-or-nothing second wager by clicking on the DOUBLE button.
If DOUBLE is chosen, all cards are removed and a new set of 5 cards is drawn, face down, from the shoe. The first card is displayed. The player then must decide which of the remaining 4 face-down cards is of a higher numeric value than the revealed first card.
Once the decision has been made, the player clicks on the back of the chosen card and all 4 cards are revealed.
If the chosen card is of a higher numeric value than the face-up initial card then the bet is won and the original win amount is doubled. If the card is of the same numeric value then the result is a push and the bet is returned. If the chosen card is of a lower face value than the original card then the wager is lost and the win is forfeit.
The player may choose to double again as many times as they wish. Each time the win from the previous wager is staked in full.
