Why play in a tournament?
Adding the element of competition gives an enormous amount of satisfaction, especially when you see your name at the top of the leader-board, plus you can win cash, bonuses, free spins and comp points!
How to join?
Firstly, you're going to need a tournament nickname. You will be prompted to create one the first time you enter a tournament and that will be the name that will be displayed on the leader-board any time you're near the top. You'll also see your position relative to other players in the tournament*. Your tournament nickname will be the same for all tournaments.
Once you have your tournament nickname you need to decide which event, you'd like to participate in.**
*(Please don't choose something that may be offensive to other players as we'll either block you or change it without consultation, possibly to something you won't like. Let's be grown-ups here).
How to play?
In the casino tournament lobby, you will be presented with a list of tournament events. The status of each event is indicated, and you will be able to register or join anything that is available. (Tournaments that have already completed will still be listed for a certain period so the winners can take screenshots and show their friends).
You will need to be logged into your Miami Club Casino account and you will also have needed to verify your email address, this will allow you to take the next step.
The first action is to REGISTER. This adds you to the tournament. Some tournaments are free to join, others have a small fee which will be deducted from your casino real chip balance.
You can register into a tournament as soon as it's displayed on the screen, most tournaments are open to registration before they start. You may withdraw from a tournament up until the start time and any fee will be returned to your casino real chip balance. If you decide to re-enter later, you may do so, if the tournament is still accepting entries.
Once the tournament has started, you may join and participate. Playing in a tournament is the same as playing the game in regular mode, except you will be given a stake, or balance to play the tournament, which is separate from your regular casino balance. For example, you may enter a free slots tournament and you may receive $100.00 to play with in that tournament. It has cost you nothing, but you can use that $100.00 to try and beat the other players in the tournament by wagering any way you choose. The objective is to win as much money as possible. The higher your balance, the further up the leader-board you will climb.
Generally, most tournaments require players to place a minimum number of bets (Usually one), to qualify for a prize position. The status regarding the number of bets left to place before the account is qualified will be shown on the screen.
Many tournaments have different set-ups in terms of cost, prize structure and how long they last, all this is clearly displayed in the tournament lobby for reference and during tournament play there is an indicator of your position and how long the tournament has to run.
Types of Tournaments
Varying Balance tournaments work in the following way. You start with, for example, $100.00 and you bet $10.00. You win $50.00. Your playable balance is now $150.00 and this is also your balance used to calculate your position on the leader-board. Then you bet another $10.00 and you lose the bet, your balance is now $140.00, both playable and leader-board.
Accumulated Wins tournaments work in the following way. You start with, for example, $100.00 and you bet $10.00. You win $50.00. Your playable balance is now $150.00 and your accumulated wins are $50.00 (Your win from that one bet). You bet another $10.00 and you lose that bet, your playable balance is now $140.00 but your accumulated wins are still $50.00. Your accumulated wins can never go down.
If you lose all your playable balance, and the tournament is set up for a re-buy option, you will be notified in the game that the re-buy feature has been enabled. If you choose to do so, you may replenish your tournament balance by purchasing another entry that will be deducted from your casino real chip balance.
Please note that only funds from your real chip balance may be used to purchase entries or re-buy into a tournament. Bonus funds are not eligible to be used for tournament play.
What can I win?
Prizes are offered as cash, bonus funds, free spins vouchers, or comp points, depending on the tournament. each tournament is different and final places may be awarded different types of prizing. You can review the structure of each tournament. Some tournament prizes are a percentage of the total pool of buy-ins and re-buys, so these tournament prizes will grow as the activity progresses. Some tournaments have a fixed prize amount and so will pay that amount regardless of the number of players involved. Some tournaments have a mixture of prize types. All this information is displayed in the individual tournament event listing.
(Tournament prizes issued as comp points will not contribute towards an account being upgraded, only comp points earned through real money wagers will count towards your account moving to the next rewards level)
How do I collect my prize?
Prizes are awarded automatically as soon as the tournament ends, usually within a few minutes. Prizes will be credited directly to your casino account. Cash prizes are free of any restrictions. Bonus credits need to be wagered a minimum of 1X.
Now go and have fun!
